Applied Fluids Research Group

Two undergraduate research assistants, Levi Gosdin and Tarun Kore were awarded Auburn University's undergraduate research fellowship to conduct research in the Applied Fluids Research Group. Congratulations to the both of them!

We are very grateful to the Army Research Office (ARO) for their support of our project on investigating unsteady flow separation on rotating surfaces using volumetric velocimetry in the rotating frame of reference. You can read more about it here. This would not have been possible without the hard work of all the group members and the support of the college and department.

Tarun Kore was awarded the third place for his poster on simulations of respiratory flow through patient-specific trachea at the Annual American Institute of Chemical Engineers Undergraduate Student poster competition. He is working with our collaborators at University of Alabama Birmingham to improve our current understanding of disease progression mechanisms for expiratory central airway collapse (ECAC). Congratulations Tarun!

Abbishek Gururaj, Paul Swiney, and Bipin Tiwari join the graduate program at Auburn University. Abbishek and Bipin will be pursuing their Doctoral degree while Paul will be pursuing a Masters degree. Abbishek and Paul will be working on rotor aerodynamics and flow diagnostics methods, while Bipin will be working on biofluid mechanics. Welcome to the group Abbishek, Paul, and Bipin!
