Applied Fluids Research Group

We are very grateful to the Vertical Lift Research Center of Excellence (VLRCOE) - a consortium of the US Army, Navy, and NASA for their support of our research project on Aerodynamic Interactions of Counter-Rotating Coaxial Rotors Hovering in Ground Effect. AFRG received a task as part of the Penn State VLRCOE team and the project is in collaboration with Dr. Ehsan Taheri at Auburn University. Vikas Bhargav and Abdullah Usmani join AFRG as Postdoctoral Fellows. Vikas will be working in the plume-surface interactions and multi-phase flow while Abdullah will be working on biofluids and biomedical engineering applications. Welcome to the group Vikas and Abdullah!

Aditya Suvithiraj and Zachary Moore join the graduate program at Auburn University. Aditya will pursue doctoral studies while Zach will pursue a Masters degree. Both will be working in the area of rotorcraft aeromechanics. Welcome to the group Aditya and Zach!
