Holger Mettelsiefen joins AFRG

Holger Mettelsiefen joins the graduate program at Auburn University and he will pursue his Doctoral degree. Holger will work on Fluid-Structure Interactions with applications in both Aerospace and Biomedical engineering. Welcome to the group Holger!

Microgravity NASA EPSCoR Grant

We are very grateful to NASA and Alabama EPSCoR for their support of our collaborative research project on Plume-surface Interactions in reduced gravity environments for Lunar landing applications. This project builds on the recent NASA funded Plume-Surface Interaction work at Auburn University.

Paul wins University-Wide Award

April 21, 2021

Paul Swiney was awarded the 2nd place under University-Wide Students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at the 2021 Auburn Research Student Symposium. His oral presentation titled "Preliminary analysis of the aerodynamic responses of a red-tailed hawk traversing a vertical gust" is supported by the NASA - Alabama Space Grant Consortium Fellowship. Paul was the only student from Engineering to win a University-Wide award this year! Congrats Paul!

NSF Grant

March 01, 2021

We are very grateful to NSF for their support of our collaborative research project on Effect of Pulsatility on Expiratory Droplet-Laden Flows. We will be collaborating with Dr. Jesse Capecelatro at University of Michigan for this project.
